Poems by Maggie
•••
Birds feeding on a prey
I wonder what they say
between mouthfuls
of warm flash.
The clapping beaks
the ripping sounds
the hungry screams and calls.
I wonder who's the next
for whom the bell tolls.
•••
Broken
Into little pieces
Of silver and gold
Shattered
Scattered
All over the place
So much
For the precious vase
You vowed to hold
Forever.
